Elementary Leadership

Karin Campbell is the Elementary Principal for grades K-2 and has been with OVCA since 2012. She has been a homeroom teacher, interventionist, lead teacher.

Heather Miles is the Elementary Principal for Grades 3-5 at OVCA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She taught third and fourth grade in brick and mortar before making the transition to OVCA. In her eight years with K12, she has served as a MS Language Arts teacher, MS PE teacher, MS lead teacher, School Data & Accountability Manager, and spent a year with the K12 Data Team. Her certifications include Elementary Education, Mid-Level English, PE, and Elementary Principal.

Jessica Bryant is the K2 Lead Teacher in her 5th year at OVCA. She loved teaching 1st grade for the first 4 years.  She is excited to now support students, families and teachers as a Lead Teacher. Jessica has an Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Before teaching at OVCA, she taught Kindergarten for 3 years in a Brick and Mortar school.

Katy McClain is the Lead Teacher for grades 3-5. She was previously an Elementary Reading and Math Interventionist. She began with OVCA in 2018 after 5 previous years as an educator. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) and a master's degree in Educational Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She is a lover of board games, campfires, and coconut cream pie. She lives in Skiatook with her husband and three kiddos.

Erin Giles is the Elementary Flex Coordinator teaches 3rd grade. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master's in education from SWOSU. She started teaching in 2014 and joined OVCA in 2019.

Julie Pfister is currently serving as a Rolling Start Coordinator for the Elementary School. She has been an educator for over 20 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas.  She taught in Stillwater, OK and Palm Desert, CA before joining OVCA in 2009. Currently, she serves as Lead Teacher in grades 3-5. 

Tara Whitekiller is the Special Education Manager for Elementary & OILERS students. She started with OVCA in 2016 with one year prior teaching experience. She has a master's degree.

Elementary Teachers

Christi Boggs joined the OVCA team in July 2018. As an interventionist, she helps students be the best math or reading learner they can be! Prior to OVCA, she was an educator for 24 years in a traditional elementary school. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in early childhood and elementary education from East Central University. It was also an honor to became national board certified in 2004.

Erin Brady graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She began teaching in 2010 and moved to OVCA in 2020. Previously she has taught 4th, 5th, and EL to K-5th. In her spare time, she loves to workout, run, cook, read, ride horses, hunt, and spend time with family.

LaTasha Bray is a K-2 Paraprofessional at OVCA with over 15 years in the education field as well as student and family support. Previously, she worked as a preschool teacher for 6 years and also has extensive experience working with children who have experienced trauma, having worked at an emergency youth shelter providing case management and supervision. She currently serves as a CASA worker in OK County advocating for children in state custody. She will graduate in December with a degree in Early Childhood Education and plans to continue her education in hopes of being an elementary special education teacher.

Stacy Buck is an Elementary ELL Teacher.

Lily Cardenas is a 4th Grade Paraprofessional.

Collin Daniel graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Human Services. His experience comes from an internship with the Army Corp of Engineers for which he was a Park Ranger and helped with their Youth Services. He also worked at a local YMCA and helped them with their Youth Services by assisting students with their online classes.  Education has been especially important to him because two of his grandparents were Teachers for over 50 years. Collin currently live in Stillwater, OK with his significant other. In his free time, he enjoys doing things outdoors, watching movies, and sports.

Julie Davis is a Kindergarten-2nd grade Reading Interventionist for Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy. She has been teaching in Oklahoma for 16.5 years. Julie obtained a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Elementary Administration from Oklahoma State University. Before coming to OVCA, she taught Kindergarten - 5th grade English Language Learners in Stillwater, OK. She has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade as well as 7th grade Geography. In 2018, Julie was named Multicultural Teacher of the Year for the State of Oklahoma.

Ashley Ehrhart started with OVCA in 2021. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in psychology and is looking forward to beginning the process of going back to school to earn a masters. Before joining OVCA, she worked in a brick and mortar school working in special education.

Elizabeth Fletcher is a 4th Grade teacher who started with OVCA in 2020 and has been teaching four years overall. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a dual certification in Early Childhood Education. ​

Marissa Gage is a 3rd grade Reading Interventionist for OVCA.

Amey Henderson is a 5th Grade homeroom teacher who started with OVCA in 2019 with over 18 years of teaching overall. 5th grade is where she loves to be! Amy earned a Master’s degree from ECU.

Jessica Hopkins is a 4th grade homeroom teacher who started with OVCA in 2018. Before joining OVCA, she taught for 3 years at a brick and mortar school in Skiatook, Oklahoma. She received a Bachelor degree in Fine Art Photography from Oklahoma City University and a Master's in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University. 

Allison Karisch joined OVCA as a 2nd Grade teacher in 2019. She has been in education for over 9 years altogether. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Ryleigh Lane is a graduate of Seminole State College. She obtained her associates degree in Health Science while working as an elementary tutor. She is a first year paraprofessional here at OVCA.

Emily Marks is a 3rd grade teacher who joined OVCA in 2018. She has been teaching since 2015. She is originally from southern California and graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2015 before moving to Oklahoma.

Susan Mason is a first grade teacher who started with OVCA in 2020 and is so excited to be here!! Previously she taught early childhood for over 20 years. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University, and a Master's Degree in Education from The University of Central Oklahoma. She is also a certified Reading Specialist. Most of her experience has been in brick and mortar schools; however has been excited to shift to the exciting online world of education.

Mary Matheson is a 3rd grade teacher who started with OVCA in 2020 after 14 years as an educator. She earned a Bachelor's degree from The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at Chickasha. She later graduated with a Master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Christina McBride has been with OVCA since 2018, and started as a Kindergarten teacher in the 20-21 school year. She has over 11 years experience in education. She graduated with Bachelor's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. 

Caron Monday started with OVCA in 2019 after 11 years of prior teaching. She has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's in Educational Curriculum with a concentration in Reading and Leadership.  She is working on a doctorate degree in Curriculum. 

Ashley Neal is a Kindergarten teacher who started with OVCA in 2020 after 12 years prior teaching experience. She spent 8 years teaching Pre-K, 4 years teaching Kindergarten and 1 year teaching 1st Grade. She has a bachelor's degree in Education from East Central University with a double minor in Early Childhood and American Sign Language Interpreting.

Christine Perez is a Middle School Paraprofessional. She started with OVCA in 2020, but had worked as a paraprofessional 4 years prior. She is currently taking college classes so that she can earn a bachelor’s in early childhood education.

Kelly Pruett is a 1st Grade Teacher who joined OVCA in 2015. She graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to OVCA, she taught in brick and mortar for 9 years, teaching grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade.

Teri Reeves is a 4th grade teacher who started with OVCA in 2018. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Go Pokes!  Prior to coming to OVCA, she had 6 years of teaching experience in high school math and 4th grade. 

Rebecca Wiesemann teaches 2nd Grade who joined OVCA in 2019. She graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked with students from Pre-K to 3rd. She has over 11 years experience teaching, with 6 years in 2nd grade.

Jennifer Williams is a 5th grade Elementary Teacher. She started with OVCA in 2019, having also spent 4 years at Washington Virtual Academy teaching 5th grade and Highly Capable. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2009 with a bachelor's in Elementary Education.

Kelley Winsett is a 2nd grade teacher. She started with OVCA in 2016, and 2020-21 marks her 20th year as a teacher.  She has a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Educational Leadership, both from Oklahoma State University. She has worked in various positions in the course of 19 years, including a reading coach and gifted and talented teacher, as well as having taught grades 1st-4th.

Shari Winters has been teaching with OVCA since 2018, having previously taught 11 years. She is married with three daughters and one grandson. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a master's degree in Education.

Lauren Wiseman is a Kindergarten teacher who joined OVCA in 2020 after one prior year teaching. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences  and Disorders and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, both from Oklahoma State University.

Danielle Younger is a 3rd Grade Teacher for OVCA.

Kayla Zelnicek is a Kindergarten teacher. She started with OVCA in 2016 with one year prior teaching experience. She has a master's degree.

Elementary Special Education Staff

Clarissa Basora started with OVCA in 2020 after one prior year of teaching in Tulsa Public Schools. She is a Special Education Case Manager. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University and is currently working on a Master's in Special Education with Applied Behavior Analytics at University of Oklahoma. Previous to be coming a teacher, she worked in the medical field for 10 years as a Medical Scribe for hospitals, doctor offices and surgical centers. She loves to travel with her husband and have grand adventures. 

Kelly Cook has taught Special Education for over 25 years and has been with OVCA since 2015. She taught OVCA High School for 4 years, and returned to the Elementary School in 2020.  She holds certifications in the following areas:  Elementary Education, K-12 Special Education, Severe-Profound/Multiple Disabilities, Learning Disability, Mild-Moderate Disabilities and Mentally Handicapped.  She also holds Registry Training Certificates in the following areas:  Deaf-Blind, Multiple Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Karli Davis is a 1st Grade Special Education Teacher who began teaching in 2020. She graduated from Utah Valley University with degree in Mild/Moderate Special Education with a minor in Autism. She has worked as a substitute teacher in Oklahoma and in Utah as a paraprofessional in a 'Severe Special Education' class and in a Post-high school. She did her Student Teaching and Internship in a mild/ moderate classroom and autism unit at an elementary school while in Utah.

Krissi Duff began teaching 5th grade with OVCA in 2017. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK, with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2006.  Prior to coming to OVCA, she taught middle school in Kelton, TX, for 5 years.  She also taught 3rd grade in Oklahoma for 5 years in Geary, Burns Flat & Mustang.

Tiffany Furr began teaching in 2010, and joined OVCA in 2017. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and holds a teaching certificate for both Early Childhood Education & Special Education. Tiffany started in special education in 2015, and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Amy Jaques (pronounced jay-cues) joined OVCA as a Special Education Teacher in 2010.  She also worked for Arizona Virtual Academy for 1 year.  Before her virtual years, she taught at Skyline High School in Arizona.

Amanda Johnston is a 5th grade special education teacher for OVCA.

Rebecca McGuffin has both a bachelor's and a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Oklahoma.  2020-21 marked her 5th year at OVCA.

Michelle Ochsner is a 5th grade special education teacher. She started with OVCA in 2019. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2011. Her major areas of study included Special Education, Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to OVCA, she taught for Edmond Public Schools for 9 years, working with special education students in K-8th grade. She lives in Edmond with her husband Ryan and their two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, doing anything outdoors, and gardening.

Jennifer Ratzloff is a 3rd grade homeroom teacher who started with OVCA in 2015 after 14 years prior teaching experience. She has a bachelor's degree in Special Education from NSU in Tahlequah, and a master's in Elementary Education from Jones University in Colorado.  She has taught in Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.  She loves teaching!

Beth Spinks is a special education teacher who started at OVCA in 2019, having been in educatin for over 10 years. She was a teacher in Texas for eight years. She has a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. She started in elementary special education and was moved to high school in 2019 to fill a need, and is glad to be back 'home.' She is very good at math and knows several different ways to teach just about anything.  She believes any one can learn if they are presented the information correctly for them.

Seth Thomas is a 3rd grade special education teacher for OVCA.

Melanie May Vann is a 2nd grade special education teacher for OVCA.
