Spreading Cheer: OVCA’s Four Holiday Meal Giveaways

This holiday season, Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy (OVCA) was thrilled to share the joy of giving by awarding four holiday meals to members of our amazing community! These giveaways were a way to celebrate the season and show appreciation for the families and staff who make OVCA such a special place.

Here’s how the meals were awarded:

• Winter Snowblast Winners
  Two lucky families received holiday meals after attending our Winter Snowblast events and entering to win:
  • Dannette B., Learning Coach for a Middle School student, attended the OKC Snowblast celebration.
  • Vanessa W., Learning Coach for an Elementary School student, joined us at the Tulsa Winter Snowblast event.

These festive gatherings were wonderful opportunities for families to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the magic of winter together.

• Learning Coach Community Giveaway
  One meal was awarded to a dedicated Learning Coach through our Learning Coach Community. Lynsey T., Learning Coach of an Elementary School student, shared her excitement:
  “This is so exciting! When I saw the notification, my jaw dropped! The kids are gonna flip!”
• Staff Fundraiser Winner
  The final meal went to a staff member who won during our fundraiser event. These fundraisers play a vital role in supporting in-person socialization events for our families, helping us create meaningful opportunities for connection throughout the year.
  Mrs. Johnson, High School Special Education Teacher for Severe and Profound, said:
  “Oh, wow! This is exciting!! I was happy to contribute to the Holiday Meal Fundraiser – I was so surprised when my family won!”
