Student-athletes across Oklahoma just received a game-changing opportunity! Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy (OVCA) has officially earned accreditation from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This means high school athletes enrolled in OVCA are now eligible to meet NCAA academic standards, unlocking doors to compete at the collegiate level.

For student-athletes juggling demanding training schedules, this is huge. OVCA’s flexible online learning model already allows students to work at their own pace and on their own time. Now, with NCAA approval, they can pursue college athletics without compromising their education.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as an NCAA-accredited school,” said Audra Plummer, Head of School at OVCA. “This opens the door for so many talented young athletes who need flexibility without sacrificing academic quality.”

Whether it’s early morning practices, travel for tournaments or evening workouts, OVCA provides the structure student-athletes need to succeed in the classroom and in their sport. And with this new accreditation, the path from virtual school to college competition will be smoother.
