Student Support Administrators
Cady Looper is the Student Support Administrator for OVCA and ISOK. Cady graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She has spent over 16 years working in education. She joined K12 in 2010 and taught elementary for 5 years before transitioning to lead the Student Support Services team (made up of CFAs) in 2015.
Shauna Irvin is a 10-year veteran Learning Coach currently serving as the Lead CFA on the Student Support Services Team. She is also excited to be serving as the Oklahoma Learning Coach Academy Coordinator, helping to strengthen our communities one Learning Coach at a time. She has been employed with OVCA/ISOK for over 11 years. Prior to that she was a stay-at-home-educator-small-business-operator. Her greatest joy is in serving and helping others in a variety of capacities. She and her family treasure their volunteer work, including serving on volunteer construction and disaster relief crews.
Community Engagement Specialist
Kyra Williams-Garcia is a Community Engagement Specialist who started at OVCA in 2020. This is her first role directly in education. She has a Master of English and Creative Writing and will graduate in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Ethics. She worked for 6 years as a Youth Pastor, and ran mentoring and healthy relationship building programs for middle and high school students for 4 years.
Leah Allen is a 2014 University of Central Oklahoma graduate. She obtained her master’s degree in Education from UCO in 2017. She began her teaching career at Oklahoma Centennial Mid-High School in Oklahoma City, and moved to OVCA in 2019.
Amanda Coyle is a School Counselor who joined OVCA/ISOK in 2018. She has been an educator for over 20 years! She was an Elementary and Middle School Classroom Teacher for various grades starting with Pre-K-8, Dyslexia Specialist, and a Small Group Reading Interventionist prior to obtaining an Educational Psychology with an emphasis on School Counseling Master's Degree at Texas A&M in College Station, TX. In 2021, she is blessed to witness her own High School and College Freshmen grow. She loves learning and helping others to become their best!
Jenn Preston began working as a School Counselor with OVCA in 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy. She has been working as a school counselor for over 9 years, serving students from Kindergarten to college in a variety of school settings. She loves helping students find their passion and build dreams for the future!
Hailey Thomas is the Lead School Counselor at OVCA. She has an M. Ed. in School Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology both from Northeastern State University. She started with OVCA in 2018 and has worked as a high School Counselor for nearly a decade. Before becoming a School Counselor, she worked as a Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer for the State of Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs. She lives in Muskogee with her husband and 2 young children. What Hailey loves most about working for OVCA is the flexibility it affords both her and the students and families she serves.
April White is a School Counselor who joined the OVCA team in 2014. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master’s degree in Guidance & Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has over 17 years of experience in education, working in Oklahoma and Ohio. She's enjoyed working as a special education teacher, transition specialist and school counselor throughout her career. April White has a passion for education and enjoys helping and encouraging students to be their best as they navigate through school and plan for their future.
Kelsey Case is a Speech Pathologist for OVCA. She joined the team in 2021.
Student & Family Resource Coordinators
Raeshelle Sharpnack is a Student Family Resource Coordinator. She started with OVCA in 2015 and has close to 30 years in Social Services/Education. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Oral Roberts University and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. She has worked in various areas of social services and education, ranging from Eating Disorders, Hospice/Medical, Alternative Education, Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault/Human Trafficking, and many other areas of Social Services. She is also a Certified Group fitness instructor.
Kaylynn Watts is a Student Family Resource Coordinator for OVCA. She joined the team in 2021.
Allison McCartney began teaching 8th grade English at OVCA in 2015. She completed her Bachelor’s in Journalism and Broadcasting and her Master’s in Mass Communication from Oklahoma State University. She worked in Public Relations for 2 years before teaching and is certified in Math, English, and Journalism. She taught 5 years in Putnam City and Edmond schools before coming to OVCA, and she has taught anywhere from 6th grade math to 12th grade AP English as well as being a newspaper adviser. She is currently working on her PhD in an education field also at Oklahoma State. Go Pokes!
