OVCA Administrators

Sheryl Tatum is the Head of School. She joined the K12 team in 2009 and has been serving as Head of School since 2013 (2014 for ISOK). Sheryl has 20 years’ experience in education. She earned a BA from Eastern New Mexico University and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix.

Audra Plummer is beginning her 10th year with OVCA/ISOK. She has been with the schools since 2009. She began her online teaching career, as an OVCA teacher assigned to families with three or more students with one learning coach. Mrs. Plummer as served as Master Lead, Elementary Principal, Interim Principal at ISOK and is currently Deputy Head of Schools. Prior to working at OVCA/ISOK, Mrs. Plummer taught in public schools for 14 years in the Norman Public Schools. She has a Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma. In 2004, Mrs. Plummer earned National Board Teacher Certification.   


Celeste Claggett is in her third year as the elementary principal and joined OVCA in 2011. Prior to teaching at OVCA, she taught 3rd grade in Norman Public Schools. Celeste earned her BS in Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University and her Elementary Education degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Cady Looper is the Southern Regional Engagement Principal. Cady graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2004 with a bachelors in Elementary Education. She joined OVCA in 2010 and taught elementary for 5 years before transitioning to lead the FAST team in 2015. This school year will be her 15th year in education and 9th year at OVCA. Cady lives in OKC with her husband and two little girls.

Sandra Powell is a Regional Engagement Principal serving students in grades K-12th. She joined OVCA in 2010, first as a High School teacher then spent the last 6 years as the Middle School Principal. She has more than 20 years of educational experience in both private and public schools in Indiana and Oklahoma. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with majors in biology, chemistry and a minor in physical science from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana and holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Development from Grand Canyon University.

Erin Starkey is the middle school principal at OVCA. She joined OVCA in 2010 and has 15 years of experience in Oklahoma education. Erin earned her BA degree from the University of Oklahoma and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Instructional Technology from Sam Houston State University in TX. Erin has worked with OVCA as a teacher, lead teacher and an instructional coach before moving into her current role as principal.


Kimberly Brown joined OVCA in 2016 as Special Education Manager. Kimberly holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma. While completing her Master of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma, Kimberly achieved specialist-level certification in School Psychology.  She began her career in education as an elementary school teacher and practicing as a school psychologist since 2006.  As a school psychologist, Kimberly worked with children, youth, families, and educators to prevent and solve individual, school, and family-related problems. She believes all children and youth have a right accomplish meaningful goals and maximize their full potential. 

Courtney Love rejoined the staff of OVCA as the Operations Manager in October of 2013. She received her bachelors in early childhood education in 1999 from the University of Central Oklahoma. Courtney taught seven years as an elementary teacher in a brick and mortar school and taught two years with K12 for OKVA. She is pleased to be serving in this position and looks forward to what the future holds for our students and staff.

Deborah Mackey is the School Communications Administrator. She joined the K12 Oklahoma team in 2012. She brings more than 17 years of experience in education and earned her degree in Business Administration from Rogers State University. She has served as an Academic Advisor, Student Activities Facilitator, and Mentor at high school and college levels.

Ryan McDonald is the Assistant Operations Manager for both OVCA and ISOK. He joined the team in September 2014, and became the Enrollment Coordinator and Office Manager in September of 2015. Ryan earned his BS in Psychology, with a Minor in Philosophy, from Oklahoma State University in December of 2009. Previously, Ryan collected workplace injury and illness data for the Oklahoma Dept. of Labor and also worked on the 2010 US Census.

Heather Miles is the School Data and Accountability Manager. She began at OVCA in the middle school as an English teacher in 2013, transitioned to a lead teacher role in 2014, and moved into her current role in 2016. Heather earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She is certified in Elementary Education, Middle School English, and Physical Education. Before coming to OVCA and ISOK, Heather taught third and fourth grade in brick-and-mortar.
