OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy recently gained accreditation from the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as an NCAA-accredited school,” said OVA Head of School Audra Plummer. “OVCA is now positioned to support student-athletes who aspire to compete at the next level. We’re excited about the potential this brings for students across Oklahoma who need a flexible, high-quality education while dedicating themselves to their sport.”

The new accreditation status means OVCA’s programs meet the eligibility standards for collegiate athletics, allowing high school students to compete at the collegiate level.

OVCA stated they believe this new status will give student athletes the flexibility they need to pursue their athletic training at the highest level while also receiving their education.
