Elementary Lead Teachers

Image of Karen CampbellKarin Campbell taught in a brick and mortar setting for four years in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. She is also certified in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching at OVCA for 4 school years. This year she will be the elementary lead teacher for Kindergarten through second grade. She lives in the Tulsa area with her husband, Ken, and two daughters, Courtney and Cassie. In her spare time she loves to go camping, watch NASCAR, and play board games.


 

Image of Julie PfisterJulie Pfister graduated from the University of Kansas in 1990 with a degree in elementary education. Before joining OVCA, she taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 10 years in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Palm Desert, California. Julie lives in Edmond with her husband EJ, daughter Janie and son Jack. This will be her 8th year with OVCA. She serves as a lead teacher for grades 3-5 this year.

 


Elementary Teachers

                            

Image of Amy JaquesAmy Jaques is a 1996 Central Bible College graduate with a BA in Bible/General Studies. She has teaching certificates in Special Education and Elementary Education. She taught for four years in a brick-and-mortar school in Arizona, and for one year at Arizona Virtual Academy before moving to Oklahoma. This is her 7th year teaching for OVCA. She is a Special Education Teacher who works with K–5th grade students. She lives in Edmond with her husband, Wes, and 5 children…Kelly, Chason, Ridge, Fallon and Abbi.  In her spare time she loves to paint, go to concerts, and play board games.


 

Image of Tara VallandinghamTara Vallandingham is beginning her 4th year with OVCA. She is super excited to be in 2nd grade again this school year.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has taught for 17 years in 1st, 2nd & 3rd grades. She lives in Bartlesville with her husband, Michael. They have 7 children. Jordan is 20, Jonathan is 17, Abel is 7, Ruby is 6, Adalynn is 4, and Evette and David are both 2.  They enjoy working in the yard, traveling and spending time with their families.


 

Image of Beth DavisBeth Davis has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University. She taught for 4 years in California, before taking a break from her career to raise her 5 children. She is a 5th grade teacher with Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy. She believes that every student can succeed if given the opportunity to approach learning the way that is best for them. She has been with OVCA for five years. She lives in Claremore, OK with her husband Terry. She has been married for 28 years. She enjoys family history research, travel, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her 1 year old grandson Axel.


 

Image of Stacy BuckStacy Buck is a Northeastern State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology. She has taught 23 years, with 19 of those in brick and mortar, teaching grades 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th.  This is her 4th year with OVCA.  She teaches 5th Grade.  Stacy lives in Perkins with her husband, Bobby.  In her spare time she loves to travel and fish.


 

Lori North is a 2010 East Central University graduate. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education as well as certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has been married for almost 12 years and has two amazing children. Lori taught 4th and 5th grade Special Education at Okemah Upper Elementary for two years. After that, she decided to take some time to stay home with her children. She began working for OVCA in October 2015 teaching 4th grade.


 

Image of Kayla ZelnicekKayla Zelnicek graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood education. She also has a minor in psychology. Kayla has worked with children of all ages! She has been married 10 years and has 3 beautiful children. Twin boys who are 9 and a daughter who is 3! Kayla is going back to school to get her masters in Literacy starting in August. This is her second year teaching kindergarten and first grade with OVCA. Kayla enjoys traveling, swimming, and learning new things.


 

Image of Jessica BryantJessica Bryant graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Before teaching at OVCA, she taught Kindergarten for 3 years in a brick-and-mortar setting. This is her third year teaching 1st grade with OVCA. She is excited to begin the year working with her new students and their families. She lives in Choctaw with her husband and two children, Wyatt (5) and Willow (3). Some of her favorite hobbies are reading, going to the lake and spending time with her family.


 

Image of Kimberly RiingKimberly Ring is a Northwestern Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught 3rd and 4th grades for 3 years in brick and mortar. This is the start of her 3rd year at OVCA teaching 3rd grade. She believes that every student has the ability to learn and rise to expectations. She lives in Enid, OK with her husband Darrell and her son Dustin. She has been married for 9 years. She is currently working on her masters in Educational Leadership through American College of Education and plans to graduate in March 2018.


 

Image of Kelly PruettKelly Pruett is a Northeastern State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to OVCA she taught in brick and mortar for 9 years, teaching grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade. She has one son, Rhys, he is six years old. She is excited to start her second year of teaching in the virtual world and helping many more students and families gain a love for lifelong learning!! In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, gardening, watching her son play sports, and spending time with family and friends.


 

Image of Katherine YoungKatherine Young graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is also certified in Early Childhood Education. She taught 3rd grade in Ponca City for 2 years and was a curriculum specialist for 3 years. This is her second year teaching kindergarten at OVCA. She lives in Stillwater with her husband and two children, Hudson and Hallie. In her spare time, she enjoys running, sporting events and spending time with her family.


 

Image of Jennifer RatzloffJennifer Ratzloff received her bachelor’s from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK.  She taught Special Education for 14 years in brick and mortar schools in Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.  She went back to school in 2012 for her master’s in elementary education and graduated from Jones International University in 2014.  She taught third grade at OVCA last year and is excited about the new adventures this year will bring to both her and the third grade students. Mrs. Ratzloff loves math.  She lives in Wagoner with her husband, Patrick, and grandson, Dakota. In her spare time she loves to travel, read, and do various craft projects.


 
Image of Aleshia MontgomeryAleshia Montgomery went to Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA.  She taught in WA for 2 years, middle school and kindergarten. Then she joined the Navy for 3 years.  That brought her to Oklahoma. Aleshia taught Kindergarten in Moore for 2 years, 5th grade and then 1st grade.  She substitute taught in Edmond where she was given the opportunity to work as a long term sub in a Special Education classroom.  She then taught in Guthrie for a year in Pre-K.  Aleshia has been with OVCA going on 5 years now.  The first year she taught a little in each school, then she taught middle school for two years and now she is back to working with Early Childhood students as a special education teacher.  Aleshia and her husband began raising sheep last year and they have 7 dogs.

 

Image of Kelley WinsettKelley Winsett received her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 2000 and earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from OSU in 2003. This will be her 17th year of teaching, teaching grades from 1st to 4th grade. This will be her 2nd year to teach at OVCA teaching 2nd grade. She has been married to Luke for almost 15 years and has 3 boys Grey is 11, Rawley is 9, and Nash is 6.  Her family lives in Altus and farm cotton, wheat, and cattle.


 

Image of Jana DayJana Day graduated from the University of Oklahoma with bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  She has taught 5th grade in Broken Arrow, OK, for 5 years and is now in her third year as a 4th grade teacher for OVCA.  She also worked as a Family Support Liaison for OVCA and as a learning coach for her two students for two years.  Jana now lives in Shawnee with her husband, Kenny; daughter, Emily; and son, Tyler.  Jana loves to read, learn, and spend time with her family.


 

Image of Casey RollerCasey Roller graduatedfrom Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1998.  She also has her Early Childhood Certification.  She has taught 2nd grade, 5th grade and Kindergarten in the brick and mortar schools. This is her second year with OVCA, and she will be teaching 1st grade.  She lives in Bixby, Oklahoma.  She is married to Mike and they have 4 boys.  They love to go to the lake and attend sporting events.


 

Image of Rebecca McGuffinRebecca McGuffin has a bachelors and master degree, from the University of Oklahoma in Special Education and is certified in Special Education and Elementary Education. She has taught brick and mortar in Oklahoma City, Norman and Moore over the 14 years of teaching. This will be Rebecca’s second year but first full year of teaching at OVCA. Rebecca lives southeast of Norman on her small hobby farm. In her spare time, she enjoys raising chickens, turkeys, geese and peafowl, as well as, gardening, sewing and spending time with her daughter and friends.


 

Image of Abby BownAbby Bown graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2012 with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She later earned her Master’s degree in 2016 from the University of Oklahoma in Special Education. This is her fifth year in education, and she has experience teaching 5th grade and Special Education in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas. She currently lives in Enid, Oklahoma. She enjoys spending time with her fiancée Bobby and their two dogs Lady (an Australian Shepherd) and Tony (a Pug)


 

Image of Krissi Duff Krissi Duff is a 2006 Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduatewith
a BS in Elementary Education. She also holds a certificate in Special
Education and Early Childhood. Prior to working at OVCA she taught 10
years in brick in mortar in both Oklahoma and Texas.  She lives in
Tuttle with her husband, Chad. Krissi begins nearly every day with
CrossFit.  She loves to be active and enjoys being outside.


Middle School Lead Teachers

Image of Erin GoodridgeErin Goodridge graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2001 with a B.S. in Music Education and a B.A. in Music with a flute performance concentration. She also holds a Master of Music Education degree. She has taught in Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma. She teaches private instrument lessons and is a teaching artist for the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa. Erin resides in Tulsa with her husband, Ted, and their two children, Madison and Mason. They are also expecting baby Evelyn this October! This is Erin’s 4th year with OVCA, and she teaches music and art for the middle school.


 

Image of Crystal JonesCrystal Jones graduated from Northeastern State University of Oklahoma in 2006 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She is highly qualified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Intermediate Math. Before coming to OVCA Crystal taught for 4 years in Oklahoma brick and mortar schools. Crystal began teaching for OVCA in 2012. She currently teaches 6th grade science, and is a lead teacher in the middle school. 

 

 

Middle School Teachers

Image of Jenny AkinJenny Akin graduated with a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University in 2006. She is certified to teach Intermediate Math and Business for grades 5th–12th. This is her 5th year with OVCA and she loves teaching 7th grade math.


 

Image of Haley BradleyHaley Bradley graduated from Oklahoma State University in December of 2002 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has taught in Connecticut and with Union Public Schools in Tulsa, OK. She has a total of 9 years of experience teaching 8th graders Pre-Algebra. This is her fourth year with OVCA. She teaches 8th grade Math 8.


 

Image of Ashley CanterburyAshley Canterbury is a 2006 and 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education and Master’s degree in Teaching. She taught 6th and 7th grade math for 6 years in Louisiana before relocating to Oklahoma where she has taught math, language arts, and history for 4 years. This will be her 11th year in education, and her fourth with OVCA!  She is teaching 6th grade history and Financial Math.


 

Image of Lisa CottrellLisa Cottrell is the 7th grade Science teacher. She has a passion for changing her students’ views of the world through Science! Mrs. Cottrell received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2011. She began her teaching career in 2012; teaching second and fifth grades. She is highly qualified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Science and English. She will graduate with her Master of Education in 2017 from the American College of Education. She has three lovely children: Addi (5), Owen (2), and Nathan (1).


 

Image of Trina DriverTrina Driver graduated in 2008 with a M.S. in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership-Curriculum degree from Oklahoma State University. In 2002 she received her B.A. in Sociology/Criminology from the University of Oklahoma. Trina has taught Middle School Pre-AP English, Life Science, Earth Science, Computer Applications, and High School Computer Tech. She is currently the 7th grade Homeroom Teacher at OVCA.


 

Image of Allison McCartneyAllison McCartney graduated from Oklahoma State University in May 2009 with her master's in Mass Communication. Allison worked in public relations for two years before teaching and is certified in math and English. She taught five years in Putnam City and Edmond schools before coming to OVCA where she is in her 2nd year teaching 8th grade English. She has taught anywhere from 6th grade Math to 12th grade AP English and was also a newspaper advisor. She is currently working on her PHD and also gives softball lessons. In her free time she loves reading, watching movies, spending time with her family and friends, playing sports, traveling and attending all OSU sporting events. Go Pokes!


 

Image of Randall MonsonRandall Monson has a Master of Arts degree in German from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He is certified by the State of Oklahoma to teach German, French, Spanish, English, ESL, Special Education, Mathematics, Art, and History. Randall’s professional experience includes information systems analysis for large corporations in the U.S.A. and Europe. He has taught many subjects at schools throughout Oklahoma. Randall enjoys teaching and being part of the evolving world of virtual education at OVCA!


 

Image of Amanda SchmidtAmanda Schmidt graduated from East Central University in 2008 with an Elementary degree. She then studied Spanish abroad in Costa Rica for a year and graduated from El Instituto de Lengua Espanola in 2009, adding a Spanish Education concentration to her teaching license. She taught 2nd grade for four years in Putnam City Schools and Piedmont Schools.  She’s been teaching for OVCA Middle School since 2014 and currently teaches Spanish and PE.


 

Image of Jennifer SissomJennifer Sissom graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah in 1996 with her Bachelor's Degree and a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics. Currently, Jennifer is again attending NSU working on her Master’s Degree in Science Education.  She has 14 years of experience teaching Science and Math in brick and mortar schools. She has been with OVCA since 2014 and currently teaches 8th grade Science.


 

Image of Ginger TroubaGinger Trouba received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University in December of 1995. She was the Permanent Substitute at Catoosa JW Sam Elementary and then taught first grade. She has been with OVCA since 2011 and teaches 7th grade Geography.  She became a Certified Academic Language Therapist in September on 2016 to help people with Dyslexia.


 
Image of Amy Conder

Amy Conder began her teaching career in 1996 after graduating from Calvin College in Michigan with a B.A. in Elementary Education. In 2002, she received an M.S. in Education from Cal State Hayward. She has taught in both elementary and middle schools in California for 14 years, and had worked as a school librarian and college guidance counselor. She is currently the Gifted/Talented teacher for OVCA.


 

Image of Lora Fairfield-HowellLora Fairfield-Howell graduated from Northeastern University in 2001 with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a math emphasis and again in 2011 with a Masters in Middle School Math Education.  She has taught 12 years, mostly middle school 5th–8th and either Special Education and/or math. She is certified in math through Alg I/Geometry, elementary education grades 1–8, and Special Education Mild Moderate Pre-K thru 12. Lora resides in Muskogee with her husband, Paul.  She has 2 children, Bekah and Jakeb, and 4 grandchildren Vander, Jaxon, Meadow, Avalon, and Grandbaby #5 due this Fall.  This is her second year with OVCA.


 

Image of Sara JacksonSara Jackson teaches 7th grade Language Arts. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in May of 2012 with a B.A. in English and received her alternative teaching certification in Middle Level English that same summer. Mrs. Jackson previously worked in the oil and gas industry before returning to college to follow her dream of being a teacher. Before coming to OVCA, she taught 7th grade English Language Arts and Pre-AP English Language Arts for Mid-Del Public Schools for four years.


 

Image of Kristin JohnsonKristin "Marina" Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from NSU in December of 1995. She has taught several different grades since 1998 and has been with OVCA since 2009. She teaches 8th grade American History.


 
Image of Beth WattBeth Watt completed Bachelor's degrees in Zoology and Secondary Science Education, and a Master's degree in K–12 Education from Oklahoma State University, and she is certified to teach middle-level sciences and mathematics. She has accrued over a decade of teaching experience, having taught in Putnam City, Tulsa, and Stillwater school districts. She is the OVCA Ambassador Teacher. This is her sixth year at OVCA Middle School, and she truly enjoys teaching sixth grade mathematics.  

 

Image of Cindy MillardCindy Millard graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Social Studies and a master’s degree in Teaching and Educational Leadership. This is her seventh year with OVCA. Before coming to the virtual world she taught 22 years in the public schools of Oklahoma, the last 19 years of that in Stillwater Public Schools.  She lives in Stillwater and has one daughter who is married and lives with her husband inTexas. A few of her favorite things are pizza, Dr. Pepper, her dog Jax, and her family.  She am an avid follower of almost every sport; especially anything involving OSU.


 

Image of Shauna JohnstonShauna Johnston graduated from Northeastern State University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She is highly qualified in Elementary Education and Mild to Moderate Special Education. Before coming to OVCA Shauna taught for 3 years in Oklahoma brick and mortar schools. Shauna began teaching for OVCA in 2013. She currently teaches 6th grade Language Arts.  


 

Image of Tara WhitekillerTara Whitekiller is s a 2008 Oklahoma State University graduate with a BS in Elementary Education. She received her Special Education Teacher's Certification through the State of Oklahoma in 2011. Tara has been with OVCA since 2013 and is currently the 7th Grade Special Education teacher at the Middle School.  


 

Image of Karlena RiggsKarlena Riggs is the middle school portfolio teacher at OVCA. She previously taught in Tulsa Public Schools for two years and at OVCA for 8 months before she left for a year to attend graduate school. She came back to OVCA in 2016 and loves it! She is originally from Tulsa but has previously lived in Boston, Nashville, and Prague. Her biggest passions are theater and her dog Gus. She does plays and musicals around town as much as possible. Her long-term goal is to start her own theater company that focuses on diversity and inclusion.  

Tonya Farris is the 6th grade Special Education math teacher. She graduated from OSU with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She loves spending time with her husband, family and friends as well as her grandchildren. She has two sons. The family likes to go to go to the lake and fish, swim and go camping.

Belva York earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology (2004) from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She has her Master’s Degree in Diplomacy: International Conflict Management (2008) from Norwich University (Where ROTC started in our Nation!). She has earned her Doctoral Degree from Southwestern College in Education with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership (2015). She has spoken at the American Counseling Associations Annual Conference in 2015, twice at Master Teacher Conferences, and twice at state Suicide Prevention Conferences. She also teaches Business online for Southwestern Christian University.

High School Teachers

Image of Allison MillerAllison Miller is the High School Lead Teacher. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2008. She also earned her Master of Education Degree with Honors in Mathematics Education in 2013 and a Principal Certification in 2016 from Northeastern State University. She previously taught in Oklahoma City and has been at OVCA since 2012. She has taught all math courses ranging from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. For fun, she likes to read, shop, play with her kids, travel and be near any body of water. 


 

Image of Amie JonckowskiAmie Jonckowski teaches Chemistry and Physics for the high school. She has degrees in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a Pre-Medical Emphasis from the University of Montana. She worked in medical research prior to their move to Oklahoma, and is currently working on her doctorate in Molecular Genetics.


 

Image of Ashlea BabcockAshlea Babcock graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in Physical Education/Health. She is certified in Physical Education/Health/Safety through the State of Oklahoma. She currently teaches Physical Education, Health, and Nutrition and Wellness.


 

Image of Barbara HinkleBarbara Hinkle graduated from Northeastern State University with a degree in Elementary Education and is certified in Secondary Mathematics. She has taught middle school in Broken Arrow for 6 years before OVCA. She teaches Computer Literacy, Life Skills, 3D Art, and Nutrition. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children.


 

Image of Denese NoakesDenese Noakes is a 1993 graduate from East Central University with a BA in Art Education. She holds a Master's degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma (2000) and a Master's in Arts in Art History (2010) also from the University of Oklahoma. Previous teaching assignments include seven years at Pauls Valley High School, one year at Little Axe Middle School, adult continuing education classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, OCCC, The University of Oklahoma. She is certified to teach Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Art, AP Art History, and AP Studio Art. Denese currently teaches Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Anthropology, and Fashion and Interior Design.


 

Image of Dianna O'ConnellDianna O’Connell received her Bachelor of Science in Education with an English Major and Coaching minor from Missouri Western State University.  She also earned a Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has been in education for 23 years. She currently teaches Senior English and Creative Writing.

State University and a Master's Degree in Art Education from Northeastern Oklahoma University. He has taught HS Fine Art & Life Skills for OVCA, also HS Fine Art & 7th/8th Visual Art for ISOK.


 

Image of Holly WyersHolly Wyers grauated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Journalism and Public Relations in 2007. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master's Degree in Education in spring 2015, and holds teaching certifications in Secondary English, Journalism, PE/Health, and US Government. She currently teaches 9th and 10th Grade English. 


 

Image of Jaime GillelandJaime Gilleland joined OVCA in Feb 2016. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Science Education. She is currently certified in the State of Oklahoma for Chemistry and Biological Sciences for grades 6–12. This will be her 8th year of teaching in schools across the state. She currently teaches Physical Science and is the Student Council & Prom Sponsor at OVCA. At home, she is a mother to six and an OVCA Learning Coach. She loves spending time with her children and teaching them to cook and planning family road trips all across the country.


 

Jesse White has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He is certified to teach Computer Science and Advanced Mathematics. He has taught Audio Engineering, C++ Programming, Computer Science, Digital Arts I, Digital Arts II, Geometry, Image Design and Editing, and Web Design.


 

Image of Jody WhiteheadJody Whitehead is a 2003 Northwestern Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in secondary education and a minor in Mathematics Education and a 2009 Northwestern Oklahoma State University graduate with a master's degree in Secondary Education. She previously taught Algebra and Geometry at Enid Public Schools for 10 years. She taught Geometry for 4 years and is currently teaching Algebra 1 for OVCA.


 

Image of Jon GreggJon Gregg graduated from East Central University in 1994 with a degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with a minor in History. He holds teaching certifications in 7–12 Oklahoma History, United States History, World History, and K–12 Physical Education. He taught nine years in Oklahoma public schools before joining OVCA. He currently teaches Oklahoma History and Government.


 

Image of Karl SafeKarl Safe graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Communication and is certified in English/Language Arts and Speech/Drama/Debate. He has taught 11th grade English in Broken Bow for 7 years and taught 9th grade English in Durant before OVCA. He has also coached Speech/Drama, Debate, and the Academic Team for both schools. He teaches 11th grade English. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children and rooting on the NFL's Buffalo Bills.


 

Image of Karla ShaneKarla Shane graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Nazarene University in 1995 with a BS in Elementary Education. She has since continued studies in specific subject areas to obtain endorsements in upper level subject areas and begun work on a master's degree program at Walden University. She has experience as a middle school classroom teacher in brick and mortar as well as almost eight years teaching K–12 grade students online for a national educational service company. Karla has lived in many areas in Oklahoma during her own school years. She and her family currently live on the western side of the OKC metro area. She has two sons, the oldest of whom is a 2015 OVCA HS graduate. She is a flute player and an avid reader, when she has free time. Karla loves to travel with her family and has visited most of Oklahoma's 77 counties, enjoying the diversity of geography that is uniquely Oklahoman. Karla originally joined the OVCA staff as a family support specialist in 2015 and is now teaching high school World History for OVCA.


 

Kelly Cook is a 1984 graduate of The University of Oklahoma with a B.S. degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. She earned her Masters of Special Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2000. She holds certification in the following areas; Special Education K-12, Elementary Education 1-8; Learning Disability N-12, Mentally Handicapped N-12, Mild-Moderate Disabilities PK-12, Sever-Profound/Multiple Disabilities PK-12. She taught in brick and mortar for 21 years before joining OVCA in 2016 where she is a High School Special Education Teacher.  


 

Image of Kevin ThompsonKevin Thompson is a 1998 graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies. He previously taught Social Studies for 14 years at a brick-and-mortar school in Oklahoma. He is currently teaching high school Modern US History classes with OVCA. Mr. Thompson enjoys his spare time with his wife and five children.

 


 

Image of Phillip PrzybyloPhillip Przybylo is a graduate of Wright State University and received post-graduate certification in English education through the University of Findlay, both schools located in Ohio. He also received certification in Oklahoma in 2012 and has an Associate's degree in Communication Arts. Since 2008, he has taught English Language Arts to students in Grades 8–12.


 

Image of Rachel ThomasonRachel Thomason is a graduate from the University of Tulsa. She taught in Tulsa for seven years at East Central High School and Edison Middle School. When she moved to Stillwater, she taught Spanish at all three secondary schools for six years prior to joining OVCA in 2010. She also teaches Spanish at our sister school, Insight (ISOK).


 

Image of Randall MonsonRandall Monson has a Master of Arts degree in German from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He is certified by the State of Oklahoma to teach German, French, Spanish, English, ESL, Special Education, Mathematics, Art, and History. Randall’s professional experience includes information systems analysis for large corporations in the U.S.A. and Europe. He has taught many subjects at schools throughout Oklahoma. Randall enjoys teaching and being part of the evolving world of virtual education at OVCA!


 

Image of Sarah FarrarSarah Farrar is a 2002 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Science Education. Since then, she has taught both high school and middle school Oklahoma students.  Her certifications include Biological Sciences, Earth Science and Physical Science. Sarah has been a teacher with OVCA since 2011. She currently teaches Earth Science and Veterinary Science.


 

Image of Sharity WattsSharity Watts is a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in secondary science education. After earning her bachelor's degree, she began teaching in Mustang, Oklahoma where she taught 9th grade Biology for four years before joining the OVCA staff in October 2012. She earned her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Nazarene University in December 2011. Her certifications include the Biological Sciences and Physical Science.  She currently teaches high school Biology for OVCA.   


 

Image of Tallie StewartTallie Stewart graduated from Cameron University in 2007 with a degree in English and a minor in History. She holds teaching certifications in 5–12 English and 9–12 Speech and Drama. She taught seven years in Oklahoma public schools before joining OVCA. She currently teaches English I and Honors English I.


 

 


 

Image of Traci ManseauTraci Manseau is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Mathematics Education. She has taught high school and middle school math for thirteen years between Enid Schools and OVCA.  She has taught 6th grade math, 7th grade math, 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Geometry, AP Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.


 

Tracie Grunewald received her Bachelor’s degree from NWOSU in 1991 and a Juris Doctorate from OU in 1997. She received her OSDE certification to teach mid-level Mathematics, intermediate Mathematics, mid-level English, and mid-level Social Studies in 2007. She later added high school English, Journalism, and Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities - Special Education. She has taught at Guymon High School, Texhoma High School, and Woodward Middle School. Tracie currently teaches geometry. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children, and granddaughter.  Her hobbies include cheering on her son, Kasey, in his senior year sports and FFA activities, gardening, painting, and anything with granddaughter, Maci. Tracie is an avid photographer.  She and her husband raise cattle and farm.  


 

Image of Vanessa BryantVanessa Bryant taught math at Carl Albert Middle school in Midwest City for six years prior to OVCA. Her degree is in Mathematics Education from Oklahoma Christian University. She is teaching Math and Personal Finance in the High School for OVCA. She loves sports and enjoys spending with her husband and 2 boys. Go Thunder and Boomer Sooner!


 

Image of William RobertsWilliam Roberts is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University (Bachelor of Music Education) and Arizona State University (Master of Music). In addition, he holds the Master of Church Music from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He has K–12 music endorsements from the states of Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan. He has taught music in Arizona, Utah, Texas, and Oklahoma as well as overseas in St. Vincent and the Cayman Islands (British West Indies), Japan, Kenya, and Singapore. He teaches high school music appreciation.
